History

A Gathering Place since 1930 .

Our historic building dates back to the early 1930’s - Built during the Great Depression, it has played host to several mom and pop businesses throughout the decades. It has been home to a family owned and operated grocery, a barbecue dive, and rumor has it, a secret bootlegger or two.

The Leonard Square has always been a laid back social hub for our small town and in the late 1980’s, the lot next door became known as Cowboy Corner. The lot earned its nickname from the group of local cowboys who would park their pickups there on any given night and socialize.

For the last 30 years or so, the building has been storing antiques, waiting patiently to become a bustling gathering place once again. Benediction on the Square has been carefully and intentionally remodeled; the renovations highlight its historic charm while making it the perfect space for your special day.

We hope your experience with Benediction on the Square is a blessing and can’t wait for you to help us write the continued history of this special venue!
